What Is Image to PDF Converter?

Image to PDF Converter is an online tool that turns multiple images into a single PDF by placing each image on its own PDF page. It is designed for cases where you want to organize phone photos, scanned pages, screenshots, or proof images into one PDF without installing any extra software.

Uploaded files stay inside your browser and are never sent to an external server. That makes it easier to organize personal documents, contract scans, or internal report screenshots when you prefer not to upload them elsewhere. Page size, orientation, margins, and background color can all be adjusted so the final PDF looks more suitable for submission than a simple raw export.

If you want a lighter image format before export, you can continue with the Image to WebP Converter. If you later need to combine the generated PDF with another document, the PDF Merger is a natural next step.

When This Tool Is Useful

This tool is most useful when you need to submit or share several images as one PDF. For example, it works well when you want to bundle receipt photos from your phone into one file, convert photos of signed paperwork into a submission-ready PDF, or organize screenshots into a report appendix in the correct order.

It is especially efficient when your images are already prepared and you only need a clean document format. This is usually the step before PDF merging, and it is a good fit when page order matters. After conversion, you can continue with the PDF Page Number Adder to add numbering or with PDF Compressor if you want a smaller sharing copy.

  • Submit multiple receipt, statement, or proof photos as one PDF
  • Turn contract or document photos from your phone into a clean PDF
  • Arrange chat captures or work screenshots in order like a report appendix
  • Create an image-based PDF directly in your desktop browser without a scan app
  • Quickly adjust margins, orientation, and page proportions before final submission

Key Features

This tool is built so you can handle image upload, ordering, page setup, preview, and PDF download from one screen. Instead of only dropping files in and exporting them, it puts more focus on checking and refining how the final document will look.

Selecting one image instantly shows a PDF page preview based on the current settings, which makes it easier to work with mixed portrait and landscape files. The list cards and planning table also help you double-check the order before generating a submission-ready PDF.

  • Upload multiple image files at once and reorder them
  • Use A4, Letter, or a page size matched to the image ratio
  • Choose auto, portrait, or landscape orientation with fit modes for full image or page fill
  • Adjust page margins and background color for a cleaner submission layout
  • Preview the PDF page for the currently selected image
  • Convert sensitive materials locally in the browser without uploading them to a server

How to Use

Add multiple images, put them in the right order, adjust the page settings, and then click Download PDF. Switching between images in the list makes it easy to confirm the orientation and margins before you export the final file.

  1. Upload Images: Click Add Files or drag images into the upload area.
  2. Arrange the Order: Use the up and down buttons to set the order of the PDF pages.
  3. Adjust Page Settings: Choose the page size, orientation, fit mode, margins, and background color.
  4. Check the Preview: Select an image from the list to preview the current PDF page layout.
  5. Save the PDF: Click Download PDF to generate and save the new document.

If you later need to combine the output with other documents, continuing with the PDF Merger can be a convenient follow-up step.

Good to Know Before You Convert

Image-to-PDF conversion is usually closest to placing each picture directly onto its own page. For document scans with many portrait images, A4 portrait with Show Full Image is usually the safest option. For wide screenshots, auto or landscape orientation often works better. Smaller margins make the image appear larger, but leaving a little white space is usually safer when you need a print-friendly or submission-friendly format.

Fill the Page reduces empty space, but it may crop the image edges. Show Full Image keeps the entire image visible, but empty margins can remain. If preserving a scan is more important than filling the page, start with Show Full Image. If you want a tighter visual layout, compare Fill the Page first.

Transparent PNG or WebP files are composited onto the selected background color before entering the PDF. If you want an even lighter final file, it can be practical to run it through the PDF Compressor afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are uploaded images stored on a server?

No. Uploaded images are read only inside your browser, combined into a PDF locally, and never stored on or sent to an external server.

How many PDF pages does one image become?

By default, one image becomes one PDF page. The order in the left-side list is used as the exact page order in the PDF.

Can I mix portrait and landscape images?

Yes. Auto orientation calculates the page direction based on each image ratio. If you want every page to use the same direction, you can force portrait or landscape.

How are transparent PNG files handled?

Transparent areas are composited onto the selected page background color before the image is placed in the PDF. If you need a white-background submission copy, the default white background works well.

Can I convert GIF or WebP files too?

Most browser-readable image formats can be added. Animated GIF files usually enter the PDF using the first frame only, and formats with weak browser support may fail to load.
