What is PDF Page Extractor?
PDF Page Extractor is an online tool for selecting only the pages you need from one PDF document and saving them as a new PDF file. Use it to keep only signature pages from a long report, submit a specific chapter from a scanned file, or share selected pages without sending the whole document.
This tool processes uploaded PDFs only in your browser. Because the selected pages are copied into a new PDF on your current device without sending the document to an external server, it is a practical workflow for contracts, proof documents, internal draft files, and other files you prefer not to upload elsewhere.
When to use it
PDF splitting is for breaking an entire document into multiple files. PDF page extraction is for collecting only the pages you need into one file. It is especially useful when you want a clean copy of selected pages instead of deleting pages from the original.
- Save only the required pages from a long scanned PDF
- Share only the cover, summary, and conclusion pages from a report
- Keep signature pages and attachments from a contract or application separately
- Send only one chapter from course material or a manual to students or teammates
- Create a quick copy of needed pages while leaving the original PDF untouched
Key features
A large page preview, range input, and selection summary are shown together to reduce page-number mistakes before saving. When you edit the range, the selected page count and current-page status update immediately.
- Supports single pages and continuous ranges such as
1-3, 7, 10-12 - Quickly add the current preview page to the selected range
- Quick presets for all pages, odd pages, even pages, and first 10 pages
- Save selected pages in original order as one new PDF
- Download only the extracted copy without modifying the original PDF
- Browser-only processing with no external server upload
How to use
Upload a PDF, enter the pages to extract, confirm the selection in the table and preview, then save the extracted PDF. Enter page numbers based on the actual page order shown by your PDF viewer.
- Upload PDF: Click or drag a file to load the document.
- Enter pages: Type the pages to extract, such as
1-3, 7, 10-12. - Check preview: Confirm whether the current page is included in the extraction.
- Check summary: Check that the selected page count and page range match your intent.
- Save: Use Save extracted PDF to download a new PDF containing the selected pages.
If you need to split a document into multiple files, use PDF Splitter. If you need a copy with unwanted pages removed, use PDF Page Deleter. To combine PDFs again, use PDF Merger.
Page range input tips
Use a hyphen for continuous pages. For example, 2-5 means pages 2, 3, 4, and 5. Separate non-contiguous pages with commas, line breaks, or semicolons.
If you enter the same page twice, it is included only once. Selected pages are saved in original document order, so 10, 1-2 still creates an extracted PDF ordered as pages 1, 2, and 10.
If the extracted file is large, reduce it with PDF Compressor. If pages have mixed orientations, use PDF Page Rotator first, then extract the pages.
Frequently asked questions
How is PDF Page Extractor different from PDF Splitter?
PDF Page Extractor collects selected pages into one new PDF file. PDF Splitter is better when you want to divide the whole document into multiple files by page, fixed page count, or several custom ranges.
Are uploaded PDFs sent to a server?
No. Opening the PDF, previewing pages, copying pages, and saving the new PDF are handled in your browser. Resetting the tool or closing the page removes the current session data.
Can I extract pages in a different order?
This tool saves selected pages in the original document order. If you need a reordered PDF, use PDF Page Reorder first and then extract, or reorder the extracted file afterward.
Can it extract pages from password-protected PDFs?
Password-protected PDFs or files with special security restrictions may not open in the browser library. Try again with an unlocked copy or a PDF that opens normally.
Does it modify the original PDF?
No. The original file is not changed. The tool downloads only a new PDF that copies the selected pages, so you can keep the original and share only the extracted copy.
